Every piece opens up to show what's inside

Kitchen play gets serious when the fruit actually comes apart. Each piece is made of two halves: the outside with its skin texture, and the cut face showing what is really in there — an avocado stone, kiwi seeds, orange segments, the pale core of a banana. A child opens it, names it, and learns about the inside of things without being taught. Sized to suit the Melman kitchens and a natural companion to them, though it is sold on its own too.
